Bhagavad Gita – Scripture par excellence. An epitome of Psychology.

Bhagavad Gita – An epitome of Psychology. These few lines are purely the outcome of my limited understanding of this Great Scripture. Bhagavad Gita has always been my go to scripture, for spiritual and psychological advice…

Said to be written some 5000+ years ago, as part of Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, besides being the beacon of light to millions of Indians for eons, talks about Arjuna and how he, on the battlefield, suffers from acute anxiety and guilt laden depression that bought about his feeling of inertia. Said to be one of the best warrior, Arjuna refuses to pick up his weapons…

Krishna – His Guide – His Psychotherapist, patiently, helps resolve his inner conflicts, that helped Arjuna resume his dutiful actions – his Dharmik Karma – The duty to follow his path.

The teachings in this Great Scripture – Bhagavad Gita, are based on the understanding that the outside world can only be mastered when one’s inner potentials are explored and realised.

I am not an expert, but, to my limited understanding, Bhagavad Gita is the BEST crises oriented therapy exchange that I have ever read.

We all have this side of Arjuna in all of us BUT Arjuna’s greatness was he realised he needed counselling. Unfortunately, most of us, sweep our issues under the carpet…

We all need OUR Krishna, from time to time, to guide us through our inner blockages… Thankfully, Bhagavad Gita is there to show us the light…
