Mindfulness can help find your true life purpose

Know Thyself… This adage is as old as mankind is. This phrase is even inscribed in the ancient Greek temple of Apollo at Delphi. 

We all come to this world with a limited lifespan. The success of our existential journey depends on our ability to find ourselves. The path to self-discovery finally leads us to our life’s true calling. 

Most of us lead mechanical lives. Add to it the sheer stress and lack of time in our life, which takes away the mystery and beauty from our day-to-day lives. Years of living a stressful life filled with official responsibilities and personal chores make us even forget the true goals of our life.

Being Mindful, sitting or otherwise, a few minutes daily will bring that elusive clarity to our lives.

Regular mindfulness sessions lead us to a calmer state of mind. Various studies have proved that regular focussed mindfulness sessions leads to an enhanced level of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which induces calm and contentment in us. In that state of utmost calm and contentment, we are able to connect ourselves to our source of joy and are able to rediscover our passions. We are finally able to find what interests and motivate us. 

One of the aims of human life is to make this planet a better place to live. Human acts of compassion and love can make us achieve this goal. Being mindful, from time to time, can make us reconnect to our heart better, thereby making us love more, which in turn, makes our family and the world a happier place.
