Sattu ka Sharbat – Health Benefits

Sattu is also known as roasted gram flour or chatu. A staple food of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, sattu is made by roasting Bengal gram and then by pounding it into a powder.

Though mainly made of the same ingredient, besan is the flour of ground raw gram, whereas sattu is the flour of roasted gram.

Refreshing and healthy, sattu is consumed as a coolant in summers. Sattu juice is loaded with ample of nutrients, proteins, and fibre. Hence, it offers several health benefits.

How to Make Sattu ka Sharbat?

Take 100gms sattu in a bowl. Add 400ml of water slowly, initially forming a paste and then dilute the mixture further making it into a drink. 

Add the juice of 1 lemon, 1 tbsp diced onion, and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients and then pour them into a glass.
